Garmin has begun issuing a new update for one of its modern smart watches that supports LTE technology, and software version 16.23 is being released globally, as it contains many new features and addresses many outstanding bugs.
Garmin has released a new stable version of one of its recent smart watches equipped with LTE technology. As a reminder, the company released software version 5.12 for the Bounce 2 (currently priced at $254.96 on Amazon) at the end of last year. However, the company does not offer Beta updates like many of its other smartwatches.
Now, the company has taken the smartwatch itself through several software revisions to reach software version 16.23. Software version 16.23 is being released globally and can be downloaded through the Garmin Jr. app. Garmin currently estimates that the new update has reached 50% of Bounce 2 smart watches. For those updated watches, Garmin claims to have added more activity animations and alert sound options.
Furthermore, software version 16.23 contains fixes for lingering translation and predictive text issues. Garmin also states that the new update resolves a bug that caused incorrect multiplier values to appear in the “Most Active Minutes of the Day” record. As always, the company states that it has included “various” other bug fixes and improvements without going into further details. Please see Garmin forum post for more details.
