Moamen Abdel Ghaffar wrote on his personal Facebook account, “We belong to God and to Him we shall return. Survival and permanence belong to God. The brown gazelle, like Mustafa Riyad, the star of Egypt, and Al-Tersana are under the protection of God.”

Mustafa Riad won the league’s top scorer title twice, in the 61-62 and 63-64 seasons, and he succeeded with his teammate Hassan El Shazly in achieving the league’s top scorer title interchangeably for five consecutive seasons, something that no other team could achieve. He is a member of the Hundred Club list in the Egyptian League in fourth place with 123 goals.

Mostafa Riyad is Egypt’s all-time top scorer in the Olympics, with 6 goals, which he scored in the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
