Motorola introduced the new Moto Sound Flow headset during CES 2026, to directly compete with the Sonos Roam 2 headset, and differs from the previous ROKR series such as the ROKR 300. The headphone features a long cylindrical design with a flat base and an LED ring at the top, and is wrapped in a luxurious fabric available in carbon and warm brown.

The speaker includes a 20-watt tweeter, a 10-watt tweeter, two passive radiators, uses Sound by Bose technology, and also contains four microphones for voice control and hands-free calls. The speaker has an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and a 6000 mAh battery is sufficient for up to 12 hours, with the ability to charge via a base or USB-C port.

The speaker supports Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 5 for live streaming from Spotify, in addition to Apple AirPlay and Google Cast. Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology also offers three smart features: Proximity Sensing to automatically transfer calls and music as the phone approaches, Dynamic Stereo to adjust channels in multi-speaker setups depending on the phone’s location, and Room Shift to transfer playback to the speaker closest to the phone.

Users will have a companion app for Android and iOS to manage headphone settings and easily transfer playback from their phone or earbuds. Motorola has not yet announced the price or availability date, but it is expected to compete with the Sonos Roam 2 at a competitive price.
