Among a wide range of new products that Acer showcased during the CES 2026 exhibition, the new Veriton RA100 mini PC caught the spotlight thanks to its powerful specifications. The device is based on the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 accelerated processing unit, which is considered an elite class within the Strix Halo lineup, as it includes 16 cores of the Zen 5 architecture and a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of providing artificial intelligence performance of up to 50 TOPS.
The main strength of this APU is that it contains the Radeon 8060S integrated graphics processor, which currently sits on the throne of integrated processors (iGPU) from AMD. According to tests, this processor provides performance in games comparable to the RTX 4070 Laptop GPU discrete graphics card, which makes the small Acer computer very efficiently capable of dealing with games at 1080p and 1440p resolution.
The company also highlighted memory capabilities, as the processor can be paired with up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM using quad-channel technology, allowing the system to run massive AI models with up to 120 billion parameters. The device also supports a storage capacity of up to 4 TB, and comes equipped with a rich arsenal of ports, including:
-
Two USB4 ports at 40 Gbps.
-
Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.
-
Two USB 2.0 Type-A ports.
-
HDMI 2.1 port and DisplayPort.
-
LAN port.
To ensure a reliable and fast wireless connection, Acer has equipped the Veriton RA100 with support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 technologies. The company also pointed out the efficiency of the cooling system, which provides three thermal power modes (TDP modes) to meet the needs of different workloads. The device features a sleek body, built-in support for Copilot+ features, and a Kensington lock slot for shared spaces.
Acer did not reveal the official price of this device based on the AMD Strix Halo platform, but it announced that it will be available in the market during the first quarter of 2026. To get an idea of the expected cost, you can look at the GMKtec EVO-X2 device with similar specifications (with 96 GB memory and 2 TB storage), which is currently sold at a price of approximately $1,839.99.
