Apple has released a new beta version of (iOS 13.5) that makes it easier to bypass the facial recognition feature (Face ID) and enter the passcode if the user is wearing a mask.

The new facial recognition feature (Face ID) allows it to detect whether the user is wearing a mask and goes directly to the passcode screen if it detects the presence of a mask, while the feature works normally if it detects that the user is not wearing a mask.

Technical reports say that Face ID will not be completely reliable if the user is wearing a mask, and will fail to recognize the user most of the time, eventually moving to the passcode option.

The new modification significantly simplifies the unlocking process for people wearing a mask, as when you swipe up to unlock, it will take you directly to the passcode screen, which means you can unlock the phone more easily while doing things like mobile payments instead of making an error while wearing the mask or waiting for the passcode screen to appear.

The new update also includes modifications to group video calls (FaceTime Group) in order to allow users to turn off the dynamic zoom effect within calls, which automatically expands the window of participants when speaking, and the person who should focus on can be determined by clicking on the new fixed window interface.
