There are many good ways to lock Windows 10, but perhaps you have not installed the new Windows 10 Creators Update, or perhaps you have already obtained this update but do not want to rely on Bluetooth technology and the new Dynamic Lock feature to lock your computer when you leave its vicinity. Regardless of the reason behind locking your computer manually, you should know that you have four ways to lock your computer and they are:
1.Click on the Windows+L buttons
Press the Windows key and the L key on your keyboard. Keyboard shortcut to lock your device!
2. Ctrl-Alt-Del
Press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. Then from the pop-up menu, click on the power button that appears at the bottom of the screen. A group of options will appear. Choose, then lock the phone.
3. From the Start button
Tap or click the Start button in the lower left corner of your device. Then tap your user icon, then select Lock.
4. Automatic locking through the screen saver
You can set your computer to shut down automatically when a screen saver pops up. Go to Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Change Screen Saver, then check the box for On Resume, Display Login Screen. You can also set a time for how long the computer should wait before the screen saver starts.
Now, when you exit the screensaver, you will need to enter your system password to get back.
