Lieutenant General Ahmed Khaled, Governor of Alexandria, inspected this morning to follow up on the repercussions of the collapse of the property located at 41 Al-Saada Street, off Nile Karmouz Street, in front of Khamis Coffee House, within the Gharb neighborhood, immediately after a report was received from the main operating room stating that the roof of a room had collapsed and there were injured people.

Immediately, all executive, security and civil defense agencies moved to the report site, the entire area was secured, electricity, gas and water were disconnected from the property, and the necessary barriers were placed to preserve the safety of passersby and neighboring properties.

The initial inspection showed that the property consists of a ground floor and four upper floors, and a restoration decision No. 119 of 2018 was issued for it.

According to a statement from Alexandria Governorate, the collapse of the property resulted in 3 injuries in stable condition, and the injured were transferred to Al-Miri University Hospital and Gamal Hamada Hospital to receive the necessary medical care, and follow-up is underway to check on the conditions of the injured.

Alexandria Governorate confirmed that it is following the situation around the clock in the field, and is coordinating with all concerned parties to take what is necessary to preserve the safety of citizens and protect lives, while referring the incident to the Public Prosecution to complete the necessary legal procedures.
