Waze is preparing to launch one of the most requested features by users, which is displaying traffic lights on maps. Although the traffic light feature has been in Google Maps for years, Waze, also owned by Google, took a long time before integrating it.
Currently, the feature is available on a limited basis, and it appears that the feature is still in its early stages. It is noted that the app will only display up to three traffic lights during navigation mode, most likely to avoid cluttering the UI with information.
However, when you use the app without navigation mode, Waze will display all the traffic lights around you. The exact dates for the global launch of the feature are still unclear, but testing of the feature indicates that the wait will not be long before everyone gets this awaited feature.
