Vivo has launched a new update that focuses on improving the camera experience in many of its leading modern phones in the X series. This update coincides with the launch of the On the X200 Ultra, X300 Pro, and even the basic X300.

Vivo announced through its official account on the Chinese Weibo platform that some of the latest improvements to its camera software are on their way to its previous flagship phones, as it confirmed that three new features will be introduced in this month’s over-the-air update. In addition, an additional fourth feature is scheduled to arrive during the scheduled update for next June, which appears to represent Vivo’s direct answer to the photographic styles feature offered by Apple. Meanwhile, the company has already added this alternative to photographic styles to its default gallery app to enhance the editing options available to users.

In addition to the new software features, Vivo has redesigned the Gallery app interface to offer more customizable album layouts, while providing advanced options to organize photos based on media type or date taken. The updated app itself will include expanded and innovative watermark options, including new templates with a classic design and nostalgic ones to decorate photos with a unique flair. Vivo is currently limited to providing these new features for the X300, X300 Pro, and X200 Ultra phones only, but it plans to expand availability to include more other models later this year.
