Zamalek gives the first team players a 5-day rest
Cairo 24 learned from its sources that football sector officials decided to give the first team players a break from training for a period of 5 days, especially in light of the continuing financial crisis and the failure to complete the disbursement of the late dues to the players yet, in addition to the failure to resolve the file of the new technical director who will assume the technical leadership of the team during the next stage.
The source added that the decision to grant rest also came due to the lack of a technical staff leading the first team at the present time, as all members of the technical staff are present with the youth team, led by Tamer Abdel Hamid “Dunga”, during the confrontation with Al-Ittihad of Alexandria in the fourth round of the group stage of the Egyptian Capital Cup Championship.
The source explained that the Zamalek club management had decided to assign the leadership of the youth team in this match to the duo, Tamer Abdel Hamid and Hazem Emam, in light of the exceptional circumstances that the first team is going through, most notably the current financial crisis, which clearly affected the team’s stability.
Zamalek officials are continuing their moves to end the outstanding files, whether related to financial dues or the technical director’s file, in preparation for the return of stability to the team during the coming period.
