Syrian singer Nassif Zaytoun expressed his great longing for his late father, describing his longing as torment, as his father passed away 7 years ago.

Nassif Zaytoun said, in media statements: I lost my father’s presence and I love his presence and his scent. My problem is not with death, my problem is with longing because it breaks the mind, feelings, and the human being. I don’t like to miss when I have been missing for 7 years, and my father was very tired in his life, and life struck him and he made an open heart at the age of forty, and he passed away at the early age of fifty.

Nassif Zaytoun continued, speaking about his late father: When I told my father that I wanted to play the oud, he did not refuse, and I felt that the expense was heavy, so I took an allowance from him and went on the road, and he said, “May God grant you success,” and he applied to Star Academy as long as you would like to be an artist.

He added: When my financial situation changed after I won the Star Academy title, I became happy and started to make mistakes, and I remember when I came home with a wad of money and threw it on the table and told him that you have been working for 30 years, and look at the countries, and my father praised him and said, “Dad, fame is electricity, and I came out ahead of them 100 times, and God will reward me for you.”

He continued: I was hoping that he would see me now when I was successful and a member of the jury, and that he would see me when I got married, and that I would name my son after him, and we have not heard his name for 7 years.
