The transfer deal of Moroccan Youssef Belamri, Raja’s full-back, to Al-Ahly club, witnessed new developments in recent hours, on the way to the player’s transfer to the ranks of the Red Castle team.
Cairo 24 learned that Youssef Belamri underwent a medical examination during the past hours in Morocco, and the player was also keen to bid farewell to his teammates in the Raja team in preparation for traveling to Egypt to complete the procedures for his transfer to Al-Ahly.
Earlier, Moroccan media reports revealed that the representatives of the player Youssef Belamri officially informed Raja officials that the player would not continue and that he rejected the offers made during the last negotiation period.
She explained that the management of Moroccan Raja tried to convince Youssef Belamri to continue throughout the last period, as the last financial offer for the player exceeded 400 thousand dollars as a signing bonus, in addition to a monthly salary amounting to about 30 thousand dollars.
Reports continued, according to sources close to the player, that Youssef Belamri is in the process of signing an initial contract with one of the clubs, in light of receiving offers from the Egyptian and Saudi leagues, in addition to Wydad’s desire to include the rival player.
Youssef Belamri’s name was previously linked to a move to Al-Ahly, following the departure of Ali Maaloul at the end of last season, and before Al-Ahmar signed his compatriot Yahya Attia Allah, the team’s former full-back, coming from Sochi, Russia.
