The Ministry of Education and Technical Education, through the Central Administration for Student Activities, actively participated in the activities of the fifty-seventh session of the Cairo International Book Fair, which was held during the period from January 21, 2026 until February 3, 2026.

This came within the framework of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s keenness to support cultural and artistic activities and develop cultural and creative awareness among students.

The Ministry of Education and Technical Education’s participation in the Cairo International Book Fair comes within the framework of its vision to support activities, as it is one of the basic axes for building the student’s integrated personality, developing his cultural and intellectual awareness, and strengthening his connection to major national cultural events.

The Ministry’s participation includes implementing a variety of activities and events organized by a number of competent departments, which reflects the Ministry’s interest in integrating educational and cultural roles in building the student’s personality.

In this context, the Ministry indicated that the General Administration of Cultural, Artistic and Social Activities presents, through the Department of Theatrical Education, with the participation of 360 male and female students from representatives of the governorates, a group of diverse theatrical performances and segments that reflect the students’ creativity and artistic talents, and embody purposeful educational and cultural messages, thus contributing to consolidating the values ​​of national belonging, developing the artistic sense, and enhancing the skills of expression, public speaking, and teamwork.

The Ministry also explained that the School Trips Administration organizes student visits to the Cairo International Book Fair, with the participation of about 2,000 male and female students from the middle and high school levels from various governorates. Each governorate also organizes trips for about 5,000 thousand students during the exhibition period, within the framework of providing students with the opportunity to view cultural and intellectual publications, develop the habit of reading, and link the educational process to field cultural experiences.

In the same context, the General Administration of Sports and Military Education participates in the exhibition activities by presenting various programs and performances throughout the exhibition period, reflecting the role of sports and military activities in developing discipline, enhancing team spirit, and consolidating national values ​​among students.

The General Administration of Libraries also participates in the exhibition activities by organizing a number of cultural and awareness-raising events, in cooperation with the Arab Reading Challenge Project, with the aim of promoting the culture of reading, motivating students to turn to books, and developing research and reading skills.
