An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale struck the eastern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at dawn today, Wednesday, without any reports of human or material losses.

The stations of the National Seismic Monitoring Network of the Saudi Geological Survey stated that the earthquake occurred at 01:11:23 am, about 9 kilometers east of Haradh.

In a related context, the National Center of Meteorology issued a red weather alert, warning of heavy rain in parts of the Riyadh region, continuing until six in the morning, and including a number of governorates, including Riyadh, Al-Kharj, Dalam, Al-Muzahmiya, and Hotat Bani Tamim.
