Two shocks in one year increased his long grief. Not only did fate afflict him with blood cancer as a child who was not yet 8 years old, and he went through a long journey with pain inside Hospital 57357, but it increased the pain and sorrows, so that the world prevailed in his face with the death of his father out of grief for him, and in the midst of his successive sorrows and his heart was wracked with pain, his close friend died, making him lose hope of recovery and treatment, but with patience and faith he passed the ordeal and learned and practiced the art of life. Art and his participation Celebrating the fifth anniversary of the Sharm El-Sheikh Museum, on the occasion of its opening, to serve as an ambassador and representative for all his fellow patients in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The story is narrated to us by Ammar, 15 years old, a student in the second year of secondary school in a Cairo school, and a participant as an ambassador for Hospital 57357 as part of the Sharm El-Sheikh Museum’s celebration on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of its opening.
Ammar told Cairo 24 that he resides in Cairo, and that he contracted leukemia when he was 7 years old, and after a journey with pain, he was admitted to Hospital 57357 and is being treated inside the hospital, and was cured in 2021.
Ammar continues his speech: Despite his joy at his recovery, fate did not give him a chance to be happy. Rather, the illness returned to him again, as if he was saying: Oh, the joy is not over, and here his father became extremely tired and died out of grief for him. This year, Ammar returned to the hospital again to complete treatment. I had a very close friend who had the same disease and was being treated in the hospital. It was as if fate was stalking him and did not want him to be happy about meeting his close friend, and Ammar learned of his friend’s death in the same year. Where his father died.
Ammar pointed out: The world turned black in my face, and my mother tried in various ways to get me out of my ordeal, and assured me that I would be stronger than all the surrounding circumstances, and that death was a decree from God, and she asked me to adhere to my religion and maintain prayer and patience, and that healing would be in the hands of God, and that I was able to overcome this ordeal.
I decided to defy all circumstances and overcome my ordeal
Ammar explained: Despite all the difficulties that I faced for 8 years, between the dreaded illness, the death of my father, and the death of my closest friends, I decided to overcome the ordeal, learn the basics of life, and live moment by moment, so I decided to learn art and participate in all activities to get out of my sorrows.
Ammar pointed out that he is a student in the second year of general secondary school in Cairo, and after his graduation he hopes to work in that hospital where he is now being treated for leukemia, in order to return the favor to that hospital and so that he and his fellow patients can participate in helping or working in the recovery of patients.
Ammar said that my participation in the fifth anniversary of the opening of the Sharm El-Sheikh Museum brought me out of half of my sorrows. Because Sharm El-Sheikh is a beautiful country and its people are kind, and the beauty of the museum is beyond description. I felt extremely happy when its people took souvenir photos with me as if I were famous, even though I am a simple, sick young man who has been suffering from the disease for 8 years.
I invite everyone to contribute to treating patients in the hospital
Ammar called on all those who are able to contribute to the treatment of patients, commenting: I single out charitable men who are able to contribute to wiping the tears of patients and their families, and what we see inside the hospital indicates that everyone is one family, and everyone is doing their best to alleviate pain and contribute to recovery.
