US President Donald said TrumpHe did not rule out the possibility of launching an attack on Iran in the future, but he refrained from making a direct threat.
Trump stressed in a press conference that developments in the next stage cannot be predicted.
He did not rule out the military option
Trump’s statements came during a press conference held on the occasion of the one-year anniversary of his assuming office, in response to a question about his administration’s intentions towards Iran, where he said: They wanted to execute more than 800 people, and they did not do that thanks to us.
But the US President did not completely rule out the military option, saying that his administration would wait and monitor the developments of the situation. The United States did not launch any strikes, but sources told CNN that the US military had moved aircraft carriers to the region.
The US President added: I cannot predict what will happen in the future. We’ll wait and see what happens there.
Regarding the last Israeli prisoner in Gaza, Trump claimed during the event that he had information about the whereabouts of Ran Joeli. “It seems we know where Ran Guili is,” he said.
This statement may be what pushes the president towards the second phase of escalation in the Gaza Strip and the disarmament of Hamas.
