They confirmed that the trespassers irrigated the land and flooded the “cornerstone” bearing the governor’s name with water, in clear defiance of state symbols and allocation decisions, in addition to re-plowing and cultivating the land to impose a fait accompli policy and disrupt its delivery to the competent authorities.

Fears of losing the dream

The residents expressed their fear of repeating the scenario of previous years, where encroachments were removed and then returned again as a result of lax follow-up, which caused the region to be deprived of educational services for many years.

Legitimate demands and radical solutions

The people of Al-Naga appealed to the governor of Luxor to issue immediate directives to launch a massive campaign to forcibly remove all crops and encroachments, and to quickly hand over the site to the General Authority for Educational Buildings to begin implementation.

They demanded that the remaining areas of land be exploited to establish a youth center, an intellectual school for people of determination, and a sewage station to serve hamlets deprived of services, stressing their confidence in the governor’s determination to restore the state’s rights.
