The Meteorological Service explained, weather Today is Monday, February 9, 2026, with the weather today witnessing a continued gradual rise in temperatures in most parts, with the presence of water mist in the early morning.

According to the Meteorological Authority’s forecasts, the weather today will be cold in the early morning, hot to hot during the day in most areas, and cold at night. The maximum temperature will be 31 degrees and the minimum will be 13 degrees in the northern Upper Egypt region, while the maximum temperature will be 22 degrees and the minimum will be 13 in the northern coastal region.

Weather phenomena expected today in Egypt
The Meteorological Authority revealed the expected phenomena today in Egypt, with the country witnessing the presence of water mist in the early morning, starting from 4 to 9 am, on some roads leading to and from areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, the canal cities, and central Sinai. It may be dense at times in some areas, with the presence of suspended dust during the day, in some areas of Greater Cairo and southern Upper Egypt.
The winds, stirring up sand and dust, are active over areas of Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, at intermittent intervals, and today’s weather is witnessing the presence of low clouds over areas from the north of the country to Greater Cairo and the Canal cities, which may result in light drizzle that does not affect some areas.
The Meteorological Authority noted that the Mediterranean Sea will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2 metres, and the wind direction is southwesterly: northwesterly, while the Red Sea will be moderate: turbulent, with wave heights ranging from 2 to 2.5 metres, and the wind direction is southeasterly.
