A previous report last year indicated that Apple was working on developing a new service called Health+ that relies on artificial intelligence, and aims to provide health suggestions based on user data, in addition to correcting exercise posture via the iPhone camera. However, apparently, the company decided to back away from these plans.
Months after the health and fitness teams within Apple were transferred to the services group under the management of Eddy Q, new leaks revealed that the company was reducing its ambitions related to the Health+ service. This is due to Q’s belief that Apple is no longer able to compete strongly in this field.
According to internal sources, EdQ sought to accelerate the pace of development and enhance Apple’s presence in the health and wellness sector, but competing services such as Oura took great steps ahead and succeeded in controlling this field by offering advanced health features on the iOS system.

Accordingly, Apple decided not to launch the Health+ service independently, and rather add the features that were gradually developed to the current Health application.
This year, the company is expected to begin offering personalized health recommendations based on user data, and will later launch an artificial intelligence health chatbot to answer wellness and health questions.
