Omani Foreign Minister Badr said Al Busaidiwhose country plays the role of mediator in the US-Iranian talks, said that significant progress had been achieved in the talks, with Tehran agreeing not to store enriched uranium.

The Omani Foreign Minister added to CBS: Iran is ready to grant IAEA inspectors full access to the nuclear sites, in a step that may pave the way for additional progress in the ongoing negotiations between the two sides.

Reaching a US-Iranian agreement is within reach

Al-Busaidi added: I hope that Israel will not launch an attack on Iran, and we do not want a repeat of what happened last year, and reaching an American-Iranian agreement is within reach.

He added: I think that the most important achievement of all is the agreement that Iran will never possess any nuclear materials that can make a bomb. I see this as a huge achievement, and something that was not present in the old agreement that was negotiated during the era of President Obama. This is something completely new. It makes the debate about enrichment less relevant, because we are now talking about zero stockpiling, which is very important.

He explained that reaching an agreement on the terms is imminent, and that the technical details can then be finalized within a time frame of approximately 3 months.

He stated that within 90 days, negotiators will be able to address inventory files, verification processes, and necessary controls, in addition to the mechanism for accessing those sites.
