Dongfeng Nissan has unveiled its new NX8, a strong competitor in the mid-size SUV segment. The five-seater is 4870 mm long, 1920 mm wide and 1680 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2917 mm.

The SUV features Nissan’s V-motion design, with updates that include the longest continuous star halo lights in its class at 2.4 metres, and the exterior is completed by a stylish flat illuminated logo and a matrix headlamp cluster.

At the back, the NX8 features a 2,064-unit OLED taillight design, allowing customization of lighting patterns. Technically, the NX8 includes features such as LiDAR and smart driving assistance systems, including the NOA navigation system for high-speed driving and city navigation, in addition to the smart parking assistance system.

As for the interior, the NX8 features a dual-screen design for the central screen and the passenger screen, in addition to a head-up display to provide a futuristic driving environment.

The NX8 model is offered in two versions: an extended-range version equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that generates 109 kW, in addition to an electric motor with a maximum power of 195 kW (241 hp).

This version is equipped with a lithium iron phosphate battery, allowing it to have a maximum speed of 180 km/h, and a pure electric range of 102 km and 185 km.

The all-electric version comes with a single engine option, producing a maximum power of either 215 kW (288 hp) or 250 kW (335 hp). This SUV uses an 800-volt high-voltage platform coupled with CATL’s new generation lithium iron phosphate cells, providing 5C fast charging capability. Its top speed is 180 km/h, with range options between 580 km/565 km and 650 km/h. km/630 km.
