He bears witness Cairo International Book FairTomorrow, Sunday, February 1, a number of important cultural and intellectual seminars will be held, as part of its various activities.

A symposium will be held in Plaza Hall 1, entitled A Night with Farouk Juwaida, at six o’clock in the evening. The symposium will be moderated by media personality Mona El Shazly. The meeting will discuss the career of the great poet and his literary and intellectual experience.

These seminars come within the cultural program of the Cairo International Book Fair, which includes a wide range of intellectual and artistic events with the participation of an elite group of intellectuals and creative people.

Earlier, journalist Mona El Shazly celebrated in her program With You, Mona El Shazly, with the makers and heroes of the documentary film The Will, about Sheikh Muhammad Rifaat, and showed recordings of rare Qur’anic recitations by the sheikh that were found 76 years after his passing. The artist Muhammad Fahim, who played the role of Sheikh Rifaat in the film, said that the story of Sheikh Muhammad Rifaat and his cessation of reciting the Qur’an represents a powerful drama, pointing out that his entire life was linked to the recitation, and that his cessation of reading was tantamount to Losing his soul.

Muhammad Fahim continued his speech, confirming that the Sheikh used to live for recitation, and when he stopped, he lost a great dream, stressing that the Sheikh’s soul was raised by the Qur’an, and that losing this soul was a great torment.
