The security authorities had revealed the circumstances of the killing of a young engineer at the hands of his friend in Alexandria Governorate, a crime that caused an uproar at the time it occurred.
The security authorities indicated in a statement that the Karmouz Police Department received a report about a person firing gunshots at another and his death on the spot.
Investigations revealed that the victim had a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and worked as a sales representative in one of the car dealerships adjacent to the accident site.
The statement revealed that, as a result of the altercation, the accused fired gunshots at the victim, causing injury that led to his death, and he fled in his car.
While it was possible to identify and arrest the perpetrator of the incident, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and suffers from psychological illnesses.
Investigations revealed that the accused had previously been admitted to a psychiatric hospital, and had a friendship with the victim since his university studies, and he admitted to committing the incident due to previous disputes between them.
