The run-off round begins today in Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, where the voting process begins at exactly nine in the morning, amid strict security measures to secure the polls and facilitate the arrival of voters. The run-off round in Kafr El-Sheikh will continue over two consecutive days, today, Wednesday, and tomorrow, Thursday.

All organizational, service, security and medical measures were taken to ensure the regularity of the electoral process, and to provide a safe and appropriate environment for citizens to cast their votes easily and conveniently, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership, and in accordance with the rules and controls approved by the National Elections Authority.

For his part, Major General Dr. Alaa Abdel Moati, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, explained that the voter base in the governorate reaches two million, 420,182 voters, distributed among 501 electoral centers with 527 subcommittees affiliated with 4 general committees, noting that the voter turnout reflects the awareness of the people of Kafr El-Sheikh and their keenness to participate positively in constitutional entitlements, and to actively contribute to supporting the process of democracy.

He pointed out that the runoff round will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, corresponding to December 17 and 18, 2025, with the final result of the runoff round for the second stage being announced on December 25, 2025, according to the timetable announced by the National Elections Authority.

He confirmed the continuation of the main operations room in the control center of the National Network for Emergency and Public Safety in the governorate’s general office, along with the sub-rooms in all centers and cities, in implementation of Governorate Resolution No. 20394 of 2025, to follow up on the progress of the electoral process around the clock, and to coordinate immediately with all executive and service bodies, and to intervene quickly to overcome any obstacles that may arise, with complete commitment to complete neutrality, and standing at the same distance from all candidates, without any interference in the course of the electoral process.
