The city of Hurghada is preparing to host the Basketball Super Cup between Al-Ahly Club and Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria, in an anticipated meeting for all basketball lovers.
Date of the Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad match in the Basketball Super Cup
The anticipated confrontation between the men’s basketball teams of Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad Club in the Basketball Super Cup will begin at seven o’clock this evening, Sunday, at the Youth and Sports Hall in Hurghada.
Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad Alexandria players arrived in Hurghada and began preparing for the expected confrontation tomorrow, Sunday.

Al-Ahly Channel and On Time Sports Channel announced the broadcast of the upcoming match between Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad Alexandria in the Egyptian Super Cup for Men’s Basketball, on their official screen.
The last confrontation between the two teams
The last confrontation between Al-Ahly and Al-Ittihad of Alexandria came in the final round of the Al-Muttala League Championship, as Al-Ittihad of Alexandria succeeded in deciding the first match in its favor at the expense of Al-Ahly.
The second and decisive match witnessed exceptional events, after the confrontation was not completed due to an altercation that occurred during a match between the two clubs, following Al-Ittihad’s loss, which led to a delay in the start of the first team’s match.
Following the escalation of offensive chants between fans of both sides, an emergency meeting was held that included officials of Al-Ahly Club, Al-Ittihad Club of Alexandria, and the Egyptian Basketball Federation, and resulted in a decision to evacuate the stands of fans and hold the match without a public presence, in order to preserve the safety of everyone and prevent the escalation of events. However, the Al-Ittihad Alexandria delegation objected to the decision to evacuate the fans, so the team bus left the match hall before the start of the match.
After the end of the legal deadline, the Egyptian Basketball Federation considered what happened a withdrawal by the Alexandria Federation, so that Al-Ahly was declared the winner of the match and officially crowned the title.
