Circuit 30 of the Giza Criminal Court, which is held at the Shubra El Kheima Court in Qalyubia Governorate, will hear, tomorrow morning, Saturday, the second session of the trial of the player Ramadan Sobhi and three other defendants, in the case in which they are accused of forging official documents inside one of the tourism and hotel institutes in the Abu Nomros area in Giza Governorate.
In the last session, the court decided to postpone the trial until tomorrow’s session, in order to arrest and bring the fourth accused. It also instructed the player’s lawyer, Ramadan Sobhi, to ensure that his client attends the trial session in person.
During the previous session, the defendants’ defense presented a number of requests, including:
The accused will be released with any guarantees the court deems appropriate, similar to the previous release of the player Ramadan Sobhi.
Requesting the presence of prosecution witnesses to discuss them during the session.
The court also asked the defense of player Ramadan Sobhi to personally attend the upcoming trial sessions.
The South Giza Public Prosecution had referred the player Ramadan Sobhi and three others to the Criminal Court, on charges of forgery inside a tourism and hotel institute in the Abu Nomros area. The prosecution decided to release the player on bail of 100,000 pounds pending the charges.
The prosecution summoned the young man accused of taking the exam instead of the player, to confront him with the latter.
The details of the incident go back to last May, when a person was caught taking the exam instead of Ramadan Sobhi inside the institute, and when he was confronted during the investigations, he admitted that he had received financial compensation from the player to enter instead of him and take the exam in his name.
The author said that the incident was discovered after reviewing the identity data during the examination committee entry procedures, which prompted the institute administration to seize the accused and inform the competent authorities.
