Dr. Ahmed Al-Shatouri, head of the center and city of Tahta, in the governorate SohagA number of workers at the Fever Hospital and the Conjunctivitis Hospital were investigated for being absent from work without official permission, during a surprise field tour to monitor the regularity of work in health facilities.

This came within the framework of the directives of Tariq Rashid, Governor of Sohag, regarding continuous follow-up of the progress of work in government and service departments, and in order to provide the best level of services to citizens in the city of Tahta and its villages.

The head of the center and city of Tahta had directed a field visit during the evening period to a number of health facilities, as the tour included the fever hospital and the conjunctivitis hospital in the city of Tahta, to ensure the regularity of the medical and administrative staff and the extent of adherence to official working hours.

During the follow-up work carried out by Hassan Darwish, Wael Abu Aliu, and Imad Askar, the vice-presidents of the city council, it became clear that there were a number of cases of absence without legal support. Violations were immediately monitored, the absentees were referred for investigation, and the necessary legal measures were taken against them, emphasizing the application of the principle of reward and punishment and achieving discipline within service institutions.

Al-Shatouri confirmed the continuation of sudden traffic campaigns in the morning and evening, to control the work system and ensure the provision of decent medical service to citizens, in implementation of the instructions of Major General Tariq Rashid, Governor of Sohag.
