Al-Ahly faces Sporting and Zamalek faces Al-Shams
Al-Ahly, which recently won the league title, clashes with its counterpart Sporting in the most prominent matches of this round, while Zamalek meets Al-Shams in a confrontation no less strong.

Al-Ahly goes into the match in high spirits after officially winning the Handball League title for the fourth time in a row and the twenty-seventh in its history, following its great victory over Sporting with a score of 43-22 in the final stage to determine the champion.
Al-Ahly succeeded in clinching the league title two rounds before the end, benefiting from Zamalek’s 23-23 draw with Al-Ahly Bank, so that the “Red Giant” continued to impose its local control in recent seasons, after Zamalek’s last victory in the league was in the 2021-2022 season.
Al-Ahly also holds the title of the last edition of the Egypt Cup after its victory over Zamalek in the final, raising its tally to 11 titles, while Zamalek remains the most crowned champion in the tournament with 16 titles.
