Ministry announced Higher education Scientific Research launched a new cloud computing website that allows university institutions, institutes and research centers to benefit from the latest digital technologies in the fields of education and scientific research, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance digital transformation and develop the technical infrastructure in Egyptian universities.
Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, confirmed that launching the cloud computing website comes within the ministry’s directions to support digital transformation, raise the efficiency of the educational process, and provide an advanced technological infrastructure that enables researchers and faculty members to quickly and securely access the latest digital tools used globally in data analysis and management of academic and research applications.
Higher Education launches a cloud computing website to support Egyptian universities and research centers
The site aims to provide a safe and reliable environment for storing data and running academic and research applications, enabling universities to use advanced tools for processing big data and analyzing information, supporting educational programs in artificial intelligence, data science, and digital transformation, providing high computing capabilities that meet the needs of all universities, enhancing integration between digital platforms and systems within the higher education system, in addition to providing ease of use and access from anywhere and at any time, in a way that supports research and academic productivity.
In this context, Dr. Sherif Kishk, Assistant Minister for Digital Transformation, explained that the new website represents an important step towards developing an advanced research environment within Egyptian universities, pointing to its role in enabling educational institutions to benefit from the latest cloud computing and data science technologies, and enhancing digital integration between various academic platforms.
The launch of the cloud computing website comes within the country’s strategy for comprehensive digital transformation in higher education and scientific research, keeping pace with global developments and enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian universities regionally and internationally in the fields of technology and innovation. The project also supports the Ministry’s efforts to develop the digital capabilities of students and faculty members.
The Ministry has launched a website for secure cloud computing services for artificial intelligence research for faculty members and researchers at Egyptian universities and research centers, in cooperation with the Information Systems Department of the Ministry of Defense.
