The Committee on Information, Culture and Antiquities is held In the House of Representatives Today, Tuesday, headed by Representative Thuraya Al-Badawi, Chairman of the Committee, a meeting was held to discuss a number of briefing requests submitted regarding the problems of the culture sector, in the presence of a number of leaders of the Ministry and affiliated bodies.
Discussions of the Information Committee for the briefing requests submitted
The meeting’s agenda is scheduled to be topped by the briefing request for the Mansoura Opera, in light of demands to discuss the project’s position and developments, and the reasons for its delay, within the state’s plan to support cultural infrastructure in the governorates.
The committee also discusses a number of other briefing requests related to the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, the most prominent problems of which are: not allocating land to establish some palaces, or the need to include existing projects among the priorities of the investment plan.
Participating in the meeting are: Osama Abdullah, Acting President of the Cairo Opera House, Yasser Shaalan, Head of the Central Administration of the Stage at the Opera House, Hisham Atwa, Chairman of the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, Khaled Al-Labban, Assistant Minister of Culture.
Ahmed Mohamed Salah, Director General of Political Communication, Engineer Noha Khalil, Director General of Projects at the Opera House.
