The second circuit considers terrorismheld in Badr Court, the trial session of 5 defendants in Case No. 14406 of 2024 Helwan Felony, accusing them of joining a terrorist group in the case known in the media as ISIS Helwan.

The prosecution charged the defendants with establishing and assuming leadership of a terrorist group aimed at changing the regime by force, attacking state institutions, as well as collecting money to finance terrorist acts.
Investigations indicated that the first to fifth defendants collected money, cars and mobile phones, and used the Internet through encrypted applications such as Telegram and Conversation to communicate with each other and achieve the goals of the terrorist group.
In a separate context, the First Circuit of Terrorism, held in Badr, headed by Counselor Mohamed Al-Saeed El-Sherbiny, ruled today, Monday, to postpone the trial of 11 defendants, in Case No. 23849 of 2024, Helwan felonies, known as the “Helwan Cell,” to the September 21 session.
