This initiative aims to raise the level of health awareness among young people and their families, and to establish sound health practices within the school environment.

The first stop of the health camp began at Valley of the Queens Basic Education School, followed by activities at Sidi Abu El Hajjaj Primary School yesterday, Sunday.
The launch of the initiative witnessed the presence of prominent leaders from both sectors, led by Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Atta, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Luxor, Dr. Safwat Jareh, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Luxor, and Dr. Rasha Ali, Director of the General Administration of School Health and Youth, which reflects the government’s interest in integrating educational and health services.

The School Health Day program mainly targets community education schools and government schools.
The implementation mechanism depends on selecting 50 students and parents in each school to participate in interactive workshops. Awareness topics vary to include education about proper nutrition, the foundations of personal hygiene, and the principles of first aid, in addition to specialized awareness of oral and dental health.
Interactive activities and competitions
Activities to ensure that the message reaches children included the distribution of simplified awareness booklets and coloring books, in addition to the distribution of personal care supplies such as toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Entertaining activities and interactive competitions were also organised, specifically designed to promote the acquisition of healthy behaviors in a way that appeals to students.
The activities are scheduled to continue today, Monday, at Al-Zanatata Primary School, with the plan continuing to cover a larger number of schools in the coming days, as part of an expanded vision to spread health culture throughout the governorate.
