The Qalyubia Supply Directorate, headed by Dr. Tamer Salah Mokhtar, Undersecretary of the Ministry, continues its intensive efforts to preserve the rights of citizens and ensure a safe market and catering service worthy of the people of the governorate.
Several surprise campaigns were launched, based on the instructions of the Under-Secretary of the Ministry, within the districts of the East Shubra El-Kheima, Qaha, Qalyoub, Kafr Shukr, Toukh, and Qanater El-Khairiya neighborhoods, to pass by bakeries, commercial activities, stove depots, my association’s outlets, and ration operators, with the aim of controlling the markets and deterring violators.
Intensive supply campaigns in Qalyubia
The campaign efforts resulted in the issuance of 48 various catering violations, which included the production of underweight bread, the lack of clean kneading tools, the closing of bakeries during official working hours, the absence of a usable scale, the absence of an operating list for bakeries, the failure to announce prices, the production of bread that does not conform to specifications, the absence of a record of visits by inspectors, the failure to give exchange vouchers to citizens, and the absence of a dashboard with activity data.
The Kafr Shukr Supply Administration also examined a complaint received against one of the bakeries within the administration’s scope, and the examination resulted in issuing two violations: the lack of clean kneading tools and the lack of a data plate, with an emphasis on the necessity of adhering to decisions and laws and treating citizens well.
Controlling markets and commodity prices
Dr. Tamer Salah Mukhtar stressed that the issue of controlling markets and commodity prices is one of the strategic axes to which the directorate pays great attention, noting that the supervisory teams continue to closely monitor the state of markets at the governorate level and address any negative practices or unjustified increases in prices, especially in basic and strategic commodities that affect the daily needs of citizens.
