The closing ceremony of the Red Sea International Film Festival was held today, in the presence of filmmakers and artists from all over the world, on a night that is considered one of the most important artistic events in the region.

During the presence of the artist, Carole Samaha, she was keen to express her words and express her great love for art and women and said: Women always have a different say in art and cinema, and I think that it is an addition to cinema and art because they discuss topics with beauty and feelings. I am happy that there are many female artists in the Arab world who are taking opportunities in art, and women in the Arab world are taking a slightly greater position.

The new session of the Red Sea Film Festival witnessed the presence of many distinguished cinematic performances, as this session was distinguished by the presentation of a group of distinguished artistic works, which were shown for the first time during the activities of the fifth session of the Red Sea Film Festival, including the international film Fighting the Desert, which is considered its first showing in the Middle East and North Africa, after it was shown in Switzerland, and co-starring Anthony Mackie, Sir Ben Kingsley, Ghassan Massoud, Geezet Rohrig, Sami Bouajila, Aisha Hart, and it is directed by Robert Wyatt, from a screenplay and dialogue by Robert Wyatt, Erica Penny and David Self.

During the last period, Ambassador Rabie Al-Shaer awarded Carole Samaha an honorary shield under the slogan: Art et Résilience, and this was to celebrate her career as an independent artist and activist and her humanity and culture in her work. At that time, the artist Carole Samaha gave an influential speech that touched the feelings of the audience, in which she spoke about the major difficulties she faced in her personal and artistic life, and how art formed a space for steadfastness, renewal, and the ability to continue despite all the challenges.
