Today, Tuesday, the Red Sea Governorate announced the lifting of the state of emergency, coinciding with the General Meteorological Authority’s forecast of rain that may be light to moderate in the areas of Marsa Alam, Halayeb, and Shalatin during intermittent periods.
And this came decision After coordination with the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Center, and issuing urgent instructions to city leaders and directors of vital facilities to increase the degree of preparedness, and operate operating rooms to follow up on any emergency and intervene quickly when needed.
The General Meteorological Authority indicated that there are chances of light rain falling on areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt at intermittent intervals, in addition to chances of light rain that may be moderate in areas of Halayeb and Shalatin at intermittent intervals.
For his part, Major General Amr Hanafi, Governor of the Red Sea, confirmed that the governorate had lifted the state of emergency and placed all cities on the highest levels of preparedness to deal with bad weather conditions.
The Red Sea Governor stressed the need for the heads of local units to adhere to the established plan and to continuously communicate with the operations room of the governorate’s general office to ensure a quick and effective response.
