Journalist Mohamed Shabana confirmed that the Public Prosecution’s recent statement regarding the Zamalek Club’s land crisis carries serious implications and reveals serious violations that place the current board of directors in an extremely difficult position.

Mohamed Shabana attacking the Zamalek Council: The prosecution’s statement is dangerous and the club is in a historic dilemma

Shabana said, during his statements on the “Number One” program broadcast on the “CBC” channel, that the prosecution’s statement confirms that the approval of the Presidency of the Republic was not obtained to sell units of the club’s land, wondering how the sale was carried out, especially to non-sporting government agencies, considering that the matter directly affects public money.

He added that other parties that purchased units of Zamalek land became subject to legal accountability by the Public Prosecution, in light of the clear details contained in the official statement.

Shabana strongly criticized the Board of Directors of Zamalek Club, stressing that the club’s history of championships and achievements is on one side, and the October Land is on the other side due to what he described as mismanagement and putting the club in a very bad position.

He referred to the statements of the Minister of Sports, during which he confirmed that if violations were proven on the Board of Directors of Zamalek, a decision will be taken to dissolve it, stressing that there is currently no room for any further discussion regarding the Zamalek land crisis after the Public Prosecution’s statement, which resolved much of the controversy surrounding the issue.
