The Prime Minister and the high-level delegation accompanying him arrived at Cairo International Airport, returning from the Lebanese capital, Beirut, after an important visit to enhance joint cooperation between the two countries.
In a separate context, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, President cabinetThe International Monetary Fund is seen by many people as a burdensome guest with a bad reputation, in light of the widespread belief that it imposes harsh conditions on the countries that deal with it.
This came during his participation in the economic work meeting entitled Economic and Commercial Cooperation between Egypt and Lebanon, which was held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, in the presence of officials from economic bodies and the Lebanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and in response to a question regarding Egypt’s experience in cooperation with the International Monetary Fund within its economic program, the strength of its negotiating position, and the possibility of the Lebanese side benefiting from this experience. The Prime Minister explained that the common impression about the Fund does not necessarily apply to the Egyptian case.
