Youssef Massad, Al-Maghrabi’s agent, said Mahmoud Bentaikplayer of the first football team at Zamalek Club, said that his client is no longer a player in the ranks of the White Castle from a legal standpoint, after officially completing the procedures for terminating the contract.
Statements of Mahmoud Bentaik’s agent
Massad confirmed, in statements on the Number One program presented by journalist Mohamed Shabana, that they dealt with the player’s file with the utmost clarity, explaining: From a legal point of view, Mahmoud Bentaek has become a former player in Zamalek, and we left the door open for the club’s management to find an amicable solution.
The player’s agent added that he possesses all the evidence and correspondence that was sent to the Zamalek administration, stressing that the club did not present any serious proposal to resolve the crisis, despite repeated attempts to negotiate and reach a settlement satisfactory to both parties.
Massad explained that the decision to terminate the contract came after the player was exposed to clear disrespect, in light of his not receiving his salary for three and a half months, in addition to the presence of late dues from last season, noting that this prompted them to proceed with the legal procedures to terminate the contract.
Massad continued: We have already completed all the procedures for terminating the contract, and no official from Zamalek has contacted us to try to reach a solution, pointing out that the club is currently suffering from many issues and problems with the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), and that terminating the contract does not automatically mean paying the financial dues.
The player’s agent indicated that once the procedures for terminating the contract begin, any amounts that Zamalek may pay are calculated in favor of the player, but they do not prevent the completion of the legal procedures, stressing that the Zamalek administration is handling the file incorrectly.
In response to the sanctions that Zamalek announced to impose on the player due to his absence from training, Bentaek’s agent said: We leave the matter to FIFA to decide, and Mahmoud Bentaek is a 100% free player.
Bentaek’s agent continued: Zamalek did not pay Saint-Etienne’s dues, did not pay the player, and did not pay me either, and Saint-Etienne filed a complaint with FIFA against Zamalek.
The player’s agent continued: If we continue to terminate the contract, Zamalek will have to pay the full value of Bentaek’s contract, and the player has not received an advance on his contract.
