The High Representative of Gaza at the Peace Council, Nickolay Mladenov, praised the Palestinian committee of technocrats that assumes civil, administrative and security responsibilities in Gaza StripStressing that it has a good mix of technical expertise that enables it to quickly deal with existing problems.
He explained that these experiences help the committee not only to address challenges, but also to understand them and identify urgent opportunities that must be dealt with to achieve tangible results for citizens in a short time.
Mladenov said, during a special interview on the “Cairo News” screen, with the media personality Iman Al-Huwaizi, that the committee’s ability to show quick results would enhance citizens’ confidence in the next stage, especially in light of the difficult circumstances that the sector is going through.
He pointed out that the current focus is on finding practical solutions that alleviate the suffering of the population and meet their basic needs.
He stressed the importance of empowering the committee of technocrats to achieve results in terms of humanitarian aid and early recovery, and to deal with the extent of the existing devastation in Gaza, and to use this as a basis for building an integrated system that provides services to the population away from the threat of violence, and allows them to express their full potential in a peaceful and constructive manner.
