An informed Ukrainian official said that the peace plan proposed by the United States between Russia and Ukraine underwent extensive amendments during the negotiations hosted by Switzerland, as it was reduced from 28 points to 19 points in an attempt to make it more acceptable to Kiev, and it is not yet clear which points were deleted from the draft.

The informed source revealed to ABC News that the updated version of the proposal no longer includes setting a ceiling for the size of the Ukrainian army, after the initial version stipulated its maximum at 600,000 soldiers.
The source also indicated that the issue of a comprehensive amnesty for crimes committed during the war, which was included in the initial plan with all parties receiving a “full amnesty,” was deleted from the new version of the proposal.
Officials from the United States, Europe, and Ukraine participated in the Geneva meetings to discuss the American proposal, which was widely criticized as potentially constituting a “Ukrainian surrender” if approved in its first form.
On Monday morning, US President Donald Trump hinted at the possibility of progress, saying through his accounts on social media platforms: Is it really possible for significant progress to be achieved in the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine? Don’t believe it until you see it, but maybe something good will happen.
For his part, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his delegation was returning to Kiev, and that he would discuss with them the outcomes of the talks to determine the next steps and their timing.
Zelensky added that the points are no longer 28 after Geneva, and many valid points have been taken into account, noting at the same time that hard work is still required to reach a final document, and it must be done with dignity.
