In this context, Dr. Iman Karim, General Supervisor of the National Council for Persons with Disabilities, confirmed that the Cairo International Book Fair is the largest cultural event of its kind in the Middle East, because of its pivotal role in raising community awareness, enriching thought, and achieving cultural justice for all segments of society, by integrating them into one cultural place that allows knowledge without barriers.

She explained that the Council’s participation this year includes a number of rich and inclusive artistic and cultural activities and events, including organizing two workshops to build the capabilities of the exhibition’s employees and volunteers, the first on the etiquette of dealing with people with disabilities, and the second on planning inclusive cultural activities, with the aim of enhancing effective communication skills and creating an inclusive cultural environment.
