Gohar Nabil, Minister of Sports, congratulated the champion of the Egyptian modern pentathlon team, Moataz Wael, after winning the gold medal in the Modern Pentathlon World Cup, hosted by Egypt.

Gohar Nabil praised what our Egyptian hero Moataz Wael achieved, after presenting a distinguished performance that resulted in him being crowned with the World Cup gold medal, extending his greetings and appreciation to the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation and its board of directors headed by Engineer Sherif El-Erian for their clear efforts with the national team players.
In an official statement, the Minister of Sports affirmed the full support of the Egyptian state for the Egyptian champions in all games, especially the individual and Olympic games.
Moataz Wael won the gold medal in the modern pentathlon World Cup round competitions in the capital, Cairo, achieving a total of 1,608 points to break the WR world record registered in his name – 1,561 points.
Champion Moataz Wael was able to win the World Cup title and the gold medal for adults, after sweeping the competition at the expense of Frenchman Rochat Mathias, who won the silver medal, and Hungarian Mihaly Kolesesar, who won third place and won the bronze medal.
The Modern Pentathlon World Cup, which is the first tournament in the world championship series, witnessed the participation of 400 male and female players from 42 countries, while the second stage of the global competitions will be held in Bulgaria from May 13 to 17, and the third stage will be held in Hungary from June 9 to 13, with the final of the Modern Pentathlon World Cup series being held in Hungary from June 26 to 28.
