Minister Mohamed Salah was keen to welcome the Jordanian delegation, stressing the depth and strength of the relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples, praising the effective participation of Jordanian companies in EDEX 2025, which is one of the most important exhibitions specialized in the field of defense industries at the regional and global level, and is considered a forum for exchanging expertise and technical information between the participants, and is also an opportunity to learn about the modern technologies that are used in the defense industries of various countries of the world.
After that, the Minister of State for Military Production reviewed the main mission of the Ministry and its role in the field of military and civil industrialization in Egypt. He also reviewed the latest military products with which the Ministry’s affiliated companies participate in the fourth edition of the International Defense Industries Exhibition EDEX 2025. The meeting witnessed a discussion of the possibility of cooperation between the two sides in a number of areas of military manufacturing.
For his part, Major General Engineer Mufreh Tarawneh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Center for Design and Development, explained that the center was established in 1999 as an independent (military/civilian) institution operating under the umbrella of the Jordanian Armed Forces, to be a pioneering center in research, design, development and manufacturing in the fields of various defense systems. The center is affiliated with many industrial and service sectors, including (the machinery sector, the weapons and ammunition sector, the force equipment sector, the electronics and optics sector, the support services sector, the technology sector). Tarawneh expressed the interest of the Jordanian Design and Development Center in strengthening the strategic partnership with the various parties and companies participating in the exhibition, especially military production companies, especially after what he witnessed of the remarkable development in the military products that the ministry participates in in the International Defense Industries Exhibition EDEX 2025.
