Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Acting Minister of the Environment, followed the progress of the electoral process in the runoff round for the House of Representatives elections in the 19 districts canceled from the first stage, which is being held over two days in 7 governorates: Giza, Alexandria, Fayoum, Assiut, Qena, Sohag, and Beheira.

The Minister confirmed the regularity of voting within 1,694 subcommittees, with continuous field follow-up from the governors and executive leadership, and full coordination with the concerned authorities to deal with any obstacles in accordance with the instructions of the National Elections Authority.
The Minister of Local Development stressed the continuation of follow-up through the unified control center, and the provision of all facilities to voters, to ensure that the electoral process proceeds easily and regularly during the two voting days.
