Dr. Hani Sweilem, Minister, arrived Water resources and irrigationThis Friday morning, he went to Fayoum Governorate, to inspect the condition of the water system in the governorate.
Dr. Sweilem inspected the old Al-Bats station to follow up on the installation of the emergency unit, the completion of the rehabilitation work of the station’s suction basin, and the process of implementing the network scope of the station. Dr. Sweilem also inspected the construction work of the Al-Hayar cesspool under the Al-Batts drain, which is currently being implemented as part of the work of the water facilities rehabilitation project at the Tamiya Center in Fayoum Governorate.
The Minister of Irrigation directs the immediate transfer of the emergency unit at Al-Rayyan station to Al-Batsa station to improve the water condition in Fayoum
Dr. Sweilem directed that the emergency unit located at Al Rayyan station be quickly transferred to Al Battah station, especially after the completion of the preparation work on implementing the concrete base on which the emergency unit will be installed, so that the unit can enter service as quickly as possible to improve the water condition in the area. He also directed that all maintenance work at the station be completed before the end of the current winter dam period.
The Minister also directed the continuation of the implementation of the process of constructing the Al-Hayar siphon at the bottom of the Al-Batsa Bank and to accelerate the rates of work and completion to complete the work next October according to the scheduled timetable.
Dr. Sweilem thanked the Ministry’s agencies in Fayoum Governorate for their distinguished efforts to maintain the components of the water system during the winter dam period in preparation for the next summer season.
