Today, the Public Parking Department in Beheira Governorate announced the implementation of a decision that completely prohibits any girl or woman from riding next to the driver in taxis and services, in addition to internal transportation and tourism buses.

The administration confirmed that the decision applies strictly to all lines without exception, stressing that its aim is to preserve public morals and passenger safety, and to achieve discipline within public vehicles.
The Parking Department explained that the decision also comes within the framework of providing a safe and respectful environment suitable for all citizens, and ensuring that drivers adhere to the rules regulating work within the different parking lots and lanes.
The administration warned drivers against violating the decision, stressing that immediate legal measures will be taken regarding any violation, which may include imposing financial fines or stopping the car from operating, in accordance with applicable regulations.
The Public Parking Department in Damanhour appealed to citizens to cooperate and report any violations through the complex management or the supervisors present, in order to ensure the public interest and discipline within the transportation system.
