Engineer Adel Al-Najjar, Governor of Giza, held a regular weekly meeting with citizens, to discuss complaints and requests submitted by the people of the Dokki and South Giza neighborhoods, and the cities of Hawamdiya and Manshiyet Al-Qanater, in implementation of the state’s directives to enhance direct communication with citizens and achieve quick and effective responses to their problems.
The Governor of Giza listens to the complaints of the people of Hawamdiya and Dokki and issues urgent decisions
During the meeting, the governor heard the complaint of a citizen in the Dokki neighborhood, who was damaged by a restaurant because he opened a door at the entrance to the property and installed motors to extract the fumes inside the skylight, causing inconvenience to the residents. Immediately, the governor instructed the head of the Dokki district to alert the restaurant owner to quickly rectify its situation and correct the violating works within 48 hours. In the event of non-compliance, the necessary legal measures will be taken in accordance with the Unified Building Law No. 119 of 2008 and its executive regulations.
In the city of Hawamdiya, the governor examined the complaint of residents of Gamal Abdel Nasser Street because they were harmed by the owner of the neighboring property and the owner of the restaurant located on the ground floor opening a back door and building an outdoor room in violation of the engineering drawings, in addition to placing the ovens and chimney of the store adjacent to the walls of the property, which caused a previous ignition in the walls, in addition to the damage caused by the presence of a neighboring kiosk occupying the public road with chairs and tables.
The governor directed the head of the city of Hawamdiya to close the restaurant in question for operating an activity without a license, until its situation is remedied in order to preserve the security and safety of citizens. He was also instructed to provide an alternative location for the kiosk in question, while warning him to adhere to the space allocated for it.
The meeting also discussed a number of complaints and other requests received from the South Giza neighborhood and the center and city of Manshiyet Al-Qanater, where the governor stressed the speed of examining them and dealing with them immediately, stressing that the urgent response to citizens’ demands represents a top priority within the framework of improving the quality of life and providing better services.
The Governor of Giza stressed that the current stage requires the solidarity of all executive agencies and work in the spirit of one team to provide a service worthy of the Egyptian citizen, stressing that citizen satisfaction is the true criterion for the success of executive performance within the governorate.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Hind Abdel Halim, Deputy Governor, Mr. Mohamed Marei, Assistant General Secretary, Mr. Ayman Khalil, President of Giza City, Dr. Mohamed Jaber, Legal Advisor to the Governorate, Mr. Wael Shaaban, Head of the Central Administration for Governor’s Office Affairs, Engineer Walid Abdel Latif, Assistant to the Governor, Mr. Ayman Atris, Head of the Inspection and Follow-up Agency, and Ms. Shaima Arafa, Director of the Citizen Service Department, along with a number of executive leaders, heads of neighborhoods, centers, and department directors.
