Dr. Mohamed Al-Sayed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, witnessed In SohagActivities of the Sohag Governorate Republican Show at the republic level in the Children’s Day Competition for the 2025/2026 academic year, which was held at the City Private Schools Theater.

The event was also attended by the Resident Ministerial Committee, headed by Ghada Fathi Bassiouni, General Instructor of Theatrical Education in Giza, Rasha Mukhtar, First Instructor of Theatrical Education in Benha, and Aseel Ibrahim, First Instructor in Theatrical Education in Sayyida Zeinab, in addition to the work team from the Directorate of Education.

The ceremony was also attended by education leaders in the governorate, including Maher Abdel Khaleq, Director General of Executive Affairs, Mahmoud Abu Al Yazid, Director General of the Akhmim Educational Administration, and Muhammad Salah al-Din al-Bahloul, General Director of Theatrical Education in the Directorate, along with a number of directors of educational departments, general mentors, and officials of theater education in schools.

The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, then the republican anthem was performed, after which a review of artistic performances began that dazzled the audience. The ceremony included puppet theatre, monodrama, operetta, and plays aimed at different educational levels, in addition to national and artistic performances that reflect creativity and excellence.

In his speech, Dr. Mohamed Al-Sayed praised the high level of the performances, stressing the importance of these events in highlighting student talents and promoting the values ​​of innovation and national belonging. He said: We commend the great efforts made to produce these performances in this wonderful manner, which reflects the keenness of the Sohag Directorate of Education to support cultural and artistic activities for students in addition to the educational process.

For its part, the Ministerial Committee praised the quality of the performances and the level of preparation and directing, considering that the students of Sohag presented distinguished performances that represented maintaining the best level. This presentation reflects the commitment of the Directorate of Education to developing student talents and promoting theatrical and artistic activities in an educational environment that stimulates creativity.
