The artist Ahmed Fahmy revealed behind the scenes his inspiration for his character in the series “2 Coffee”, in which he plays the role of Yahya, explaining that his acting reference was the late artist Mahmoud Yassin in his famous film “A Nose and Three Eyes.”
Ahmed Fahmy: The character of Yahya in “2 Coffee” was inspired by the late artist Mahmoud Yassin in A Nose and Three Eyes.
Fahmy said, during an interview with the “Al-Sawra” program presented by media personality Lamis Al-Hadidi on Al-Nahar TV: “When preparing for any character, I always try to assemble the character, and my reference in this series was Mahmoud Yassin in the movie A Nose and Three Eyes.”
Ahmed Fahmy added: “So I relied on his style and left the white hair on the sides, and used his vocal tone, because I love this movie by the late Ihsan Abdel Quddous.”
He pointed out that Mahmoud Yassin presented many distinguished works, such as the movie “Where is My Mind,” and he hopes that these films will be repeated again, stressing: “I worked with the late man twice, one of them in the movie “Mama in the Department.”
