The Egyptian Fatwa House said, looking at Hilal The month of Shaaban Next Sunday (29 Rajab 1447 AH corresponding to January 18, 2026 AD), God willing.
She added in a post on her official page on the social networking site Facebook, O God, make him worthy of us with security, faith, safety, and Islam, and make us among those who are accepted, and receive him from us as an accepted one.
The virtue of the month of Shaban
Our Master the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, welcomed the month of Ramadan with six months and bid farewell to it with six months. When the month of Sha’ban came, he prepared and Muslims in the east and west prepared for the greatest day of the year, which is the month of Ramadan in which the Noble Qur’an was revealed. It was proven in the Two Sahihs on the authority of Imran bin Hussein, may God be pleased with him: that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to a man: Did anyone who was pleased with this month fast anything? He said, No. He said: If you break your fast, then fast for two days. And in Al-Bukhari’s narration: I think he means Ramadan. And in a Muslim narration: Did you fast anything during the days of Shaban? Narrated by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
There is a great advantage in the virtue of the month of Shaban, as it is the month in which the qiblah was turned from the Sacred Mosque to the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the matter of turning the qiblah was something that our master the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, wished for. God Almighty said, “We may see the turning of your face in the sky. So, We will certainly turn you to a qiblah that will please you.” So turn your face toward the Sacred Mosque, and wherever you are, turn your faces toward it. Indeed, those who were given the Scripture know that it is the truth. From their Lord. And God is not heedless of what they do. (144)
And in one of the narrations of hadiths on the authority of Abu Dawud, the month of Sha`ban is one of the most beloved months to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, where he says: The most beloved of the months to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was that he fasted in Sha`ban and then joined it with Ramadan. And in a narration by Abu Dawud, she said: The most beloved of the months to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was that he fasted in Sha`ban and then joined it with Ramadan.
Supplication for the month of Shaban
Supplication is permissible at all times, and with the seasons of goodness and obedience approaching, the Muslim must prepare and be prepared. It was said about that month of Sha’ban, a month in which people neglect it, between Rajab and Ramadan. It is a month in which deeds are presented to the Lord of the Worlds, and I would like my deeds to be presented while I am fasting. It was said, quoting from scholars, that the wives of the Prophet – may God bless him and grant him peace – used to make up what they owed from Ramadan in Sha’ban.
And we say in the supplication for the month of Sha’ban, O God, bless Rajab and Sha’ban for us and let us reach Ramadan. Oh God, just as you made us reach the month of Sha’ban, we have reached Ramadan, and you accept us in Sha’ban, Ramadan, and the rest of the year. Oh God, make all our deeds pure, and from those who say they do, and from those who say, they are sincere, and from those who are sincere, so it is accepted from them.
– And we say in the supplication of the month of Sha`ban: O God, have mercy on me, help me, be kind to me, and protect me with Your relief. O God, You are my refuge.
– Oh God, I beg you in your name, the one, the single, the steadfast, and in your great name, relieve me of what I have spent the evening in and have become in, reward me, reward me, reward me, O God.
– Oh God, the remover of grief and worries, the reliever of great anguish, and the one who, when he wants something, says to it, “Be,” and it is.
– There is no god but You, Glory be to You, and with Your praise, I wronged myself and dared in my ignorance, and dwelled on Your ancient remembrance of me and of You.
– Oh God, I draw near to You through Your remembrance, and I intercede with You for Yourself, and I ask You through Your goodness to bring me closer to You, to distribute Your gratitude to me, and to inspire me with Your remembrance.
— Oh God, grant me relief and a way out of everything that worries me and distresses me, whether in the affairs of this world or the hereafter, and grant me from where I do not expect, and forgive me my sins, and establish Your hope in my heart, and cut it off from anyone but You, so that I do not hope for anyone but You, O One who is satisfied with all of His creation, and no one with His creation is satisfied with Him, O One, who has no one and whose hope is cut off except from You.
O God, O God, O God, O Possessor of majesty and honor, we ask You, O God, by every name that You have given Yourself, to forgive our sins, erase our sins, and pardon us, for You are the Righteous, Forgiving.
– Oh God, you created man oppressive, ignorant, weak, and hasty, and because of my ignorance and weakness, I disobeyed you. Oh God, forgive me and accept my repentance. Indeed, you are the One who repents.
– Oh God, protect me above the earth, under the earth, and on the Day of Resurrection. Oh God, pardon my sins, cover my faults, and forgive my sins. You are the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful.
– Oh God, make us recite the Qur’an and walk with the Qur’an, and let us reach Ramadan without loss or loss.
And from the guidance of the Prophet in Sha’ban, and in a narration by Muslim: “He used to fast all of Sha’ban, and he used to fast Sha’ban except a little bit.” A group of scholars, including Ibn al-Mubarak and others, suggested that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did not complete the fast of Sha’ban, but rather fasted most of it, and what is attested to is what is in Sahih Muslim on the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, who said: “I did not know – meaning the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him – that he fasted an entire month except Ramadan. “.
Oh God, protect me from what matters to me and what I do not care about. Oh God, provide me with piety, forgive me my sins, and direct me to goodness wherever I turn. Oh God, ease me into ease, and spare me hardship.
